I went into this episode having just finished reading the manga, and not having seen the episode in Japanese, and I was pretty amazed at how, despite how most of this arc was rushed in the anime compared to the manga, everything in the last few chapters was portrayed so closely. Well, almost everything. I couldn't help but notice that the ending was different in both: the jump in time and the Kira followers in the manga, Light eventually dying and Misa on the train in the anime. And also, Light left the warehouse and wandered about, but in the manga, Ryuk killed him right there, as Light frantically asked him to write Near's name into the Note. It's hard to tell which change would be better. I did like Light reminiscing on his walk, but I sorta liked the manga ending more, with the followers laying flowers for their Kira, and Misa being the one shown to be leading them. And what I really loved was the acting. Light really sounded as afraid and panicked as he looked, and Matsuda was great, too. Of course, that's never been a problem with Death Note's dub. Now, if you look at 4Kids's dubs...like Yu-Gi-Oh! GX...but that's another thing. And since I didn't see it in JP, I was sorta expecting a "FIN" to show on the screen at the end. XD

It was obvious he was going to be killed, given that Ryuk said he'd be the one to write Light's name in the death note.
