Most people on LiveWire grew up in a society where Judeo-Christian values are still the norm, and the Bible/Torah is pretty hard on incest. It's not surprising that most people still have a pretty hard bias against it even though people are becoming secularized.

The scientific facts steer towards any actual birth defects, mentally or physically, being unlikely just from first generation incest happening. It's simply not likely to happen. The chances are not much more likely than with people who have disorders and have children who are not related. If anything, they are probably less.
