So im on diet at the mo and have been running everyday.
Which do you think will result in the most weight loss running everyday or running every second day were on the days im not running i do circuit training consisting of 2mins skipping, 2minutes push ups 2minutes skipping, 2minutes squats and so on were i alternate skipping with various exercises.
Also how long roughly do you think it will take to lose about 20lbs doing this. I just want a rough idea to keep me motivated!

the second strategy will work better- because you're not doing the same thing over and over and it may confuse your body, resulting in more weight loss. not sure how long- depends on what your eating.

It is a lot better to perform a variety of exercises rather than just run everyday because your body will eventually adjust to the same exercise and the results will not be as it once was.
20lbs? Do not plan on losing all that in a week. Technically speaking, u shouldn't be losing more than like 3 lbs a week if u're exercising? Anyways, if u want to lose that much and gain a little muscle at the same time, i suggest you to maybe use leg weights, etc...

Changing your diet can help a lot. What kind of diet did you get on to? It's best to eat 5-6 small meals a day, rather than skipping breakfast, having a small lunch and then eat a lot at dinner. Keep consequent with eating very small meals throughout the whole day 5-6 times.
Quit drinking pop, drink a lot of water instead.
Exercise helps, but not as much as you think it will. Do a lot of cardio to lose weight. Depending on your body, and how strict you are, I'd estimate 6 to 8 weeks to lose 20 lbs.

a few weeks at your rate. But I'd suggest at the end of every week try to add an extra two minuets to each one of them. Or go swimming & work on your Cardio Vascular muscles. Plus swimming in the summer time is sweet.

your muscles break down when you exercise them, then basically reform stronger; so you need to have 24-48 hours break between heavy exercise, so run every other day
