So the best way to quit is to make the initiative yourself. No problem was ever solved by idly sitting around waiting for a higher being to do something for you. The strength your God gives you is the power of faith. So next time you are about to masturbate or have sex, remember your guilt and it is at this moment that you should probably pray. Before you know it, you will naturally fall into silent meditation on your virtue whenever you have the desire to masturbate or have sex.

You must make the effort first though. No use sitting around asking and not doing anything yourself.

From a personal view, i think masturbation is fine so long as it isn't an addiction. And sex is fine too so long as you are with somebody you have a good relationship with. Honestly, any God who would judge you negatively for doing things that are perfectly natural for the human species needs to get a reality check or GTFO. But, of course, just my opinion
