Basically, is there any kind of law or general courtesy that applies when a landlord forces someone to move out of their living arrangement? Or can they really just expect you to be able to have all your shit out of the house instantaneously?

My friend's mom is an unreasonable bitch, kicked her out of the house, and is expecting her to have full moving equipment and get her shit out of the house now. She's harping on all this "take responsibility for yourself" bullshit (which is undeserved, but that's another story) and it would probably help knock some sense into her.

In order to evict someone in California, they have to have 30 days to do it. And if your mom really did want to be a nasty little bugger about it, your mom can say, I want to see the court document of your eviction notice, and it would take about 4 months to get, and your mom wouldn't have to pay rent.

move into another city tee-p thier house place their door mat with honey & hang a bucket of powder & water over their door hahahaha classic. But seriously I don't know about them just kicking you out of your house. Although they own the land you own the house. So it's sort of a 50-50. lol
