Ah, don't do that to yourself. Go to a doctor. I'm not trying to say that you do have it but you could be Bi-Polar. Thats definitely not something you'd just want to drink away. Hurry immediately. Do you have any of these symptom?
Euphoria or irritability
Excessive talk; racing thoughts
Inflated self-esteem
Unusual energy; less need for sleep
Impulsiveness, a reckless pursuit of gratification -- shopping sprees, impetuous travel, more and sometimes promiscuous sex, high-risk business investments, fast driving
Hallucinations and or delusions (in cases of bipolar disorder with psychotic features)
In the depressive phase: Depressed mood and low self-esteem
Low energy levels and apathy
Sadness, loneliness, helplessness, guilt
Slow speech, fatigue, and poor coordination
Insomnia or oversleeping
Suicidal thoughts and feelings
Poor concentration
Lack of interest or pleasure in usual activities

According to your post I can name out a few symptoms that you have.
* Sadness
* Lack of Interest
* Depressed mood
* Helplessness
I know that you're probably thinking that there is no chance that you could have it but when you said that your emotions come out of no where it made me think of Bipolar Disorder.
Or it could be that you're just depressed.
If you're just depressed don't feel as if letting your emotions out is a bad thing. Its not. For your situation its the best thing. Letting your emotions out will help you realize whats wrong. Try to come to the conclusion on what could be wrong with you. Try and be happy. Go out and do something fun. Go party. Go hang with friends.
Good Luck.
