i had a convo with a friend on here and i when they sent me a new message i did the whole show previous messages option but it only showed the messages they sent me but not the messages i sent ehm... why??

This can be if your outbox becomes full and the previous messages are deleted, or if you haven't set your sent messages to be automatically saved to your outbox.
