this proves that not only is he oblivious to me having been up for 36 hours straight thus far, but also, I HATE PARENTS SO FUCKING MUCH.

Now before you say "well if you've been up that long then you should go to bed" ..... oh hell just bring on the comments

Although I don't really think staying up that late is a good idea for your health, I also don't think he should really care if you go to sleep unless you have to be somewhere tomorrow.

That's the kind of shit that pisses me of. I got up at 8:30 AM today, and that's a pretty fucking good time for a 16 year old during summer vacation. he should be praising me.

Seriously, though. What is your dad supposed to do? You're 16 years old, not a little kid anymore. If you want attention, just ask your dad if he wants to do something with you or whatever. He doesn't need to be watching every little thing you do, since you're almost an adult now. Time to realize that you're no longer a little kid who needs mommy and daddy at your side, making sure you do nice things.

The thing is I'm out jobsearching (Not last weekend because of independence day weekend) and he wants me to be up pretty early to go do that, but I get up early despite when I go to bed. And If I stay up too late to get up early, then I'll just stay up all nights so I'll be awake when it's early like today. I don't like how he thinks he needs to teach me responsibility and control when it should be in my hands.

I guess if you keep getting up early and maybe even find a job, he'll realize that you can take responsibility for yourself and you can do things on your own without having to be told and watched like a little child
