Bestfriend of six years gets drunk..and they tried to force you to have sex with them
but you fight them because you Really don't want that for multiple reasons..
so all they end up doing is groping you, kissing you and pushing you around, enough to leave bruises.

and then when they sober up, they beg for your forgiveness.
What would you do? would you try to move on and forget about it or what?

It comes down to this: would it happen again?

If it's a one time thing, and you're certain they'll never do that to you again than ok... tread carefully, but forgive them.

But if you have any reason to think this could reoccur, you need to end your relationship with them. If you wanted to press serious charges, you could, and you shouldn't surround yourself with unsafe, volatile people.

Forgive, and if it or anything simliar happens again then stop being friends. Explain to them why that isn't okay with you. Maybe they really have feelings for you and they could have just messed up something they have been hiding by being drunk.
