Trendy? Aspergers is a serious mental problem. It may take years to diagnose because it is subtle.
But how could living in a world where you don't understand anyone be trendy?

I have aspergers, I'm not talking about the people who actually have it, its the people who read wikipedia and claim to have it but refuse to go to a doctor that annoys me.

But no, I know someone who seriously has asperger's, two people in fact, and they really do have a hard to distinguishing the line between social do and don'ts.  As for "special treatment" I mean yeah, they need to be in different environments to learn because of their behavior, but they do get in trouble (maybe not punished the same way, but yeah).  Although, one of them did have the cops called on him by his mom because he was out of his control...long story.

But yeah, I didn't realize asperger's had become a trend at all.

it is serious in that people with asperger's trade their ability to socialize and read between the lines by being incredibly fixated on mundane details of life, but more often than not its misdiagnosed in people who just have shitty social skills.

imo aspergers is mostly a stupid excuse for poor social skills, probably for a variety of situational reasons that the stupid parents dont want to admit

I agree most of the time thats the case, while there are people who really have problems with it because their brain is physically made differently.  

As a rule of thumb most people who actually have serious mental problems don't brag about them.

same goes for autism, imo whatever the cause its just slower social development, but because of this slower development they get made fun of so it stunts their development when theyre already young, whereas they could catch up by like age 9 if it was done properly
