This's been pissing me off for a while now. Say I want to change the word "faggot" to "homo". I'd highlight the word "faggot" as usual, and go to type "homo", but it doesn't write over it. Instead it says "faggothomo". If I want to replace a word, I have to highlight it and delete it and then write in the new word. How do I make it normal again, techies ?

I know, but it's irritating because I'm used to just writing over words. I get really easily frustrated when I'm trying to write essays, and screwing up word replacements just adds to it.

That doesn't delete the word, it just puts another word over it - and if the word isn't long enough, it leaves letters of the previous word behind, and it's too long, it starts deleting the characters infront of it.
