Soooooo. About one year ago my dad got me the Verizon Voyager when that ish was BRAND NEW! He put me on his family plan (cuz my parents are divorced & I live with my mum.) So at that time he said that if I ever went over caput, no more, he would cancel the phone. I also have unlimited text. So I'm a teen, ALL I fuckin do is text I rarely make calls, and when I do they are RARELY over 2-5 min long. I have never gone over minutes. But I do let my mom use my phone a lot, especially at home because we don't have long distance on the land line. So today I get a call from my dad saying his bill is $800+ dollars, that the family plan is 1400 min per month and that from my number there is over 700 min!!!
And that my phone will be cancelled!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I'm dying right now! This is bullshit this has got to be some mistake and if not then my mom did it, because nights start at 9pm not 7pm (that's what she thinks) and sometimes she says she'll just call ppl and tell them to call us at home but she ends up spending over and hour on my phone.)
BUT since all this time she's been doing this I've NEVER gone over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS IS SOOO FUCKED UP!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want the new sidekick. I'm turning 18 in May but I have no money. Now my dad is disconnecting my phone now I will have no cell phone! What do I do?!?!?!

Chill. It's just a phone. You know there are more important things in life? People are starving, dying. Think of the universe. You can just get a ride to your goddamn friend's house. And if you have no money, go get a fucking job. I'm only fourteen and I don't own a cellphone, don't have MySpace. I don't even have an Ipod, and I am perfectly content. Try making a life for yourself, not wasting it on stupid luxuries.

Ok but I am going to be in college in a few months far from my parents and any family. How will I survive/keep in touch with them WITHOUT a phone.
FUCK luxury, a phone is a basic necessity.

a phone is a necesity now a days. times change and you cant just tell people to get a life and they are living with the luxuries because they had a phone. thats bs. if a child doesnt have a phone how does a parent know if theyre kid is safe or not when they are out??
