It could really be down to a number of things. Are you feeling stressed at the moment? Stress can be one of the biggest causes of hair loss, at any age. How is your diet? Do you eat enough and is your diet balanced? Having iron-deficiency anemia can contribute to hair loss. If you're not eating the right foods and/or not eating enough then that can cause hair loss. Is your hair in good condition? If you dye it regularly, use a lot of products or use a lot of heat products on it then this can damage your hair and cause it to fall out. There are so many causes, I've only listed a few here. People lose hair every day but if you're noticing a significant difference then I'd honestly suggest visiting your doctor who can let you now the cause (after having gone through some questions with you, I imagine) and then let you know what to do about it. You could also try taking vitamins for hair regrowth. I found these websites which may help:

http://vitamins-minerals.suite101.com/article.cfm/vitamins_for_hair_growth
http://www.mothernature.com/Library/Bookshelf/Books/10/66.cfm
http://1hairlossremedy.com/articles.htm
http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/womens_health/body_hairloss.shtml

Those websites have a lot of information on the more common causes of hairloss and some ways that it can be helped. Hairloss at such a young age is probably something that can be helped and reversed but in order to do so, you really need to know the cause. Think about some of the questions I've asked you, perhaps have a search on the internet and think about asking your doctor's advice. I've also found some websites that suggest some foods that may help you maintain healthy hair and prevent hairloss here and here. I realise that I've given you a lot of links to read through, but I want you to know that this seems to be quite common and there usually is a general, straightforward reason for hairloss in someone so young and that, generally, things can be done about it. If you're worried, I think you're best bet is to visit the doctor.

I'd have liked to have been more specific in my answer, but I don't know anything about your current situation to establish why your hair is falling out and if it really is falling out too much. Hopefully those links will help somewhat.
