It is a tragedy that it took me a good 4-5 minutes to write my signature satisfactorily... But I think I managed to shove a little bit of the essence of perl in there... I've got regular expressions and hashes, which is fairly decent for a 3 line livewire sig.

Your problem is you're writing your signature in Perl....

I would have just gone with, "You're a noob. Jeff's God."

Calling it obsolete implies that it doesn't have manifold uses in its current form. It does. At my work if you're not writing it for speed in C, you're writing it in Perl.

Perl is hardly obsolete. It's a rather powerful scripting language that has a good number of uses. Granted Python is a little newer and nicer, but why reinvent the wheel?

Well you are apparently the most awesome person on this website and you have no life other than this site and coding shit that doesn't even do anything. I hope you are proud of yourself for this because I am very proud of you. You clearly have too much time on your hands and should find something else to populate your time rather than doing stupid shit like that.

Congratulations on... Having the least educated response ever. My sig does, in fact, do something, in a convoluted method that goes through several of perl's features, which is sort of a tradition of perl.

It took less than a few minutes to write the code and oddly enough after work I tend to have nothing to do since I get home at midnight.    Might I ask what you do with your time, oh one with a whole shit ton of better things to do?

Well I do many things after finishing school for the day.  I am very active in AIDs awareness education, I work on my school's newspaper, and I play on our baseball team.
