Is refusing to open windows media player and play the CDs that I am putting in. I don't know why its not even open.

Hit Ctrl + Alt + Delete and get the Task Manager open.

Go through the processes to see if wmplayer.exe is there. If it is, then right click it and "End Process" for every instance of it you see, it could be one or more.
Then try start it again.

You can try another media player to see if it is a software or hardware/configuration problem.  Get VLC Media Player and try playing the CDs through there.
