Their whole new copy protection bullshit. You can only install a game on one computer. Ain't nobody gonna tell me I can only play a game on one computer. Thats like buying a ps3 game and it only works on the first ps3 u play it on. You should be able to bring it to a friends house and play it too.

Awful. It's painfully slow even on newer computers with excellent specs, it still has wireless issues with many, many cards and drivers, UAC is junk due to having zero customization, the interface is counter-intuitive especially compared to XP, the file sorting options have apalling defaults that you can't change except on a per-folder basis, it runs games significantly slower, it takes far longer to boot, etc etc. Now, mind you, Windows 7 solves pretty much everything I listed above, and Windows 7 is actually quite nice.

How is the interface counter intuitive? I would love to hear some examples of this. Also, what is your issues with folder defaults? I have never had any issues changing things at a system level. I have also not seen any Wireless issues in a long time with Vista.

Well, they made it much more difficult to access key settings (I got fed up with that on Apple's OSes long ago, though it wasn't nearly as bad) for starters. UAC felt like it was supposed to have settings, but didn't. Changing themes was like playing russian roulette. Sometimes it worked, sometimes you'd have to reset every relevant setting, no matter how carefully I worked it through. Folders: Every. Single. Bloody. Folder. in the entire freaking system was set to not allow sort by date as a default - something that is a very common sorting option. I reinstalled the OS, I installed every update, I checked every option and site I could find. There was no way to alter the global setting that actually worked, only on a folder by folder basis, manually. Mind-boggling. This is an aside, but also was highly unimpressed with Aero, given that it was almost barren of features compared with Linux's equivalent yet used several times the resources. And then there was the issue with the damn search. Sure, it was much faster. It also made quick filtering and options a pain in the ass. Instead of having an actual ui panel to do search, you just got that little box with a couple command switches. Nothing else worked correctly. Etc. Etc.
