On iMovie, I'm wondering if it's possible to overlap two video clips onto each other (e.g. one video of someone singing and another one of someone playing guitar). This would be similar to overlapping tracks in Garageband. Is it also possible to record over a track (e.g. record a video of someone singing as the video of someone playing guitar is being played?) If so, I was wondering how this can be achieved. Thanks!

For the first part of your post, what are you hoping to achieve? What should be displayed if two videos are 'overlapped'?
As for the second part, if you split the video and the audio of a clip, you should be able to put the audio of that clip on at the same time as the video of the other clip (putting the audio of the second clip on mute of course).
