Why is it that in the US, we are under the impression that Europe is the place to go, more so than Asia?
I would say that countries like Japan can rival a country like France, for example, in terms of scenery, culture and exoticness and what not. Any thoughts?

It's just that American culture is closer to European culture, and I guess that makes us feel more comfortable.

Probably depends on where in the US you are. Plus, the Euro and UK Pound is stronger than the US dollar, I think, and the Japanese Yen might be a little less. Not sure though.

With the exception of Japan, almost all countries in Asia are cheaper for vacation. Food and accommodation is just unbelievably cheap in places like China, Thailand, or India.
But I guess people find that it's much harder to communicate with the locals and the culture-shock can sometimes be intimidating.

I also think its because with Asia, Mr. Jong is firing ICBM's every other week, and without NIF's laser ready to target disabling fire yet that Asia is a hot zone. Thats why I love it here
