I don't know. I'm not a fan of discrimination, but I'm more not a fan of murder as a general rule; I don't think we should be more sickened by a murder because it happened to a minority (because they were a minority) than we should be by a murder that happened to someone with an abusive boyfriend, girlfriend, husband or wife, or to someone with overly controlling people in their lives. Murder's just heinous, no matter the reason.

As horrible as a murder is, I have to be honest--I don't see why murders are so much more horrible when the victim is a minority. Ultimately, aren't all murders crimes of hate? You don't kill someone because you love them, that's for sure.

I agree. But that doesn't make this any less heinous. An abusive, drunken man murdering his wife or child is just as horrible.
