Technically speaking the Swastika is a symbol of good luck. Its not even a German symbol. It appears in Nordic, North American, and some kind of Northern Indian tribal symbols.

The Swastika was never used as a symbol of "Hate" by the Nazis. The Swastika is an anceint Germanic symbol of good luck and well being. If you knew much about Hitler, he was into old Germanic mythology, history, etc. It was never used by the NSDAP as a symbol to "Hate Jews" with. The National Socialist German Workers Party wasn't necessarily anti-Jewish. But, instead, they were pro-Aryan.
 The swastika became a symbol of hate, towards a number of groups Hitler deemed impure. Including:
Jews
Blacks
Gypsys
Cripples
Homosexuals 
1. Jews were ordered to leave (unless only 1/4 Jews) due to NS ideology. It was not hate towards them, just Ethnocentrism towards Whites.
2. There were Blacks in the Waffen SS (only a few though).
They were also somewhat friendly to the Blacks in the Olympics.

3. Gypsies were much the same as Jews - just not a part of the nation.
4 and 5. Cripples and Homosexuals were sterilized due to the Eugenics program.
They wanted to kill out all of the "Bad" genetics to have a stronger, healthier, smarter people.
You may call that "Evil," but many countries did that:
USA, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Austrailia, Japan, etc - to one extent or another. I think the USA did it by state though.
