In fact we should stop having History classes since the more we learn about hisory the more we realize that people hate each other over race, people kill each over race, people extermintate others because of race, etc...

That way we can all get along better right?

There is no reason why the history of blacks, or any other minorities, in the US shouldn't be taught in a regular history class. It's clearly an integral part of the social relatons in the US and ought to at least be touched upon during any regular US history course.

For example when we teach the history of California its really impossible to not speak of the role of Mexico and the role of Chinese people and the role of Native Americans. But it used to be that nobody really talked abou it until not too long ago.

I guess now that ppl make more effort to speak about it then we don't need it as much.

I am aware but it only proves that they weren't the first ones to think of it. Though the black people who they say didn't really make those inventions kind of did. They may have not first invented it, but they created a better version of those things =/

Well I don't know if anyone noticed. there are a lot of white people that don't know a thing about the history of blacks. I mean even with the month they are like " Who?"

Most ppl know about MLK and maybe Malcolm X and then that's it. Some ppl know about Rosa Parks but not too many.

All tat most people know about blacks is through hip hop and rap. So that month allows ppl to get educated a bit about it.

Overall though I goot admit that people don't even know much about history in general, even white history or european history. They don't even care about it either.

Most that all ppl really care about is the video games and music and getting the latest tch. If you ask ppl in thestreets and about dates and even important ppl in the US history they are really clueless. And they know even less about the history of the rest of the world.

When I talk to my Nigerian friend who is educated in Africa with influence from Europe I can tell he really knows a lot. Not just about the history of Africa, but also the history of Europe and the Middle East.

The guy is really an expert. And thats not even his main field (he's more into pure math!).

The fire escape, I know, was patented in 200 different ways - how could the ONE made by a Black man be the best?

The gas mask is another. People say it was the first invented - which is easily disproven - so they say "Well, it was used in WWI!"

In reality, it wasn't. The Americans used French and British gas masks (being new to poisonous gas in warfare they were more advanced).

Overall though I goot admit that people don't even know much about history in general, even white history or european history. They don't even care about it either.

Sure you can say that the old versions are better.  Though it is close to fact that they advanced these inventions for the better if not invented. Besides there are many other black inventions that are not a hoax =/

Unless of course white people want to claim credit for them in the future......
