Actually, they were just honorable mentions.

For a portfolio of ten photographs I entered into the L.A. County Fair this last September.
I just got them back with ribbons and such.

Never won something like this before.

well let me start off with I have no knoledge of photography so I might be completely wrong
-but-
Although they are real clear and you got the angles going on, all the pictures you took are of regular things, I say try to find something spectacular and take a picture of it
do you know what I'm saying?

Yes. But.... part of the magic of photography is finding totally normal, simple average things and MAKING them look cool by the way you photograph them.

And.... there's nothing spectacular where I live.
