I keep having nightmares? They won't stop... and when I wake up I feel there is something in the room with me... Any ideas?

That's a rather sweeping generalisation. I trust you have a source to support your claim, then? Retard.
To the OP, I wouldn't say it was as serious as night terrors (a sleep disorder) but it's got a couple of characteristics of it. Perhaps it's something in your environment that you are subconsciously afraid or anxious about. You can read up on more sleep disorders here.
It might also be wise to see a specialist about it. Sleep is very important and it affects your day to day functioning. If you're not getting the quality of sleep you need, it's best to check it out.
