Because he sees something in her that apparently you don't. Besides, it's not a contest. If he likes her for who she is, then good for them. I think what you should do is not dwell on being jealous and bitter, and just move on and find some other guy, preferably one who is available.

Maybe you have to accept that he doesn't have it in for you. I like a girl who already has a boyfriend. I told her how i felt and now we're just good friends. I'm doing the best i can to forget those feelings of mine for her even though it's hard.
