I'm so scared that I have accidentally jeopardized my college applications in some way. I keep having recurring nightmares.

I'm a very good student and got a 2250 on my SAT's and have leadership etc. My essays were good but I keep nagging myself about how maybe they could have been better, even though I worked really hard on them. I keep getting scared that maybe I forgot to submit an important form or something. But the biggest thing is that I'm worried that I picked the wrong teachers to write my recommendations. I want to be an English major, and had my Math and Spanish teachers write me recs... I did stress in my application that I am looking for a strong liberal arts education because it will make me a better writer with ore perspective, so that kind of justifies why I'm sending Math and Spanish, but still. I had a writing teacher from over the summer write a supplemental rec but who knows if that go through or not. Thing is, I have been realizing that a recommendation from my English teacher would have been REALLY, really strong.

I'M SO NERVOUS THAT I SHOT YMSELF IN THE FOOT. HOW THE HELL CAN I CALM MYSELF DOWN?

You need to start thinking positive instead of negative. Think of your situation as a puzzle, your only looking at one piece. So calm down and look at the whole thing and then piece things together. I dont know if that makes any sense to you but thats what i would do.

You have to consider the schools.  Some give more weight to them than, say, your grades.

I'd say you should calm down.  If you did that well on your SAT and grades, chances are you wrote a good essay.  If you're really stressing out about not being able to impact anything anymore, schedule an interview with the admission department (it will skyrocket your chances, and give you something to make yourself feel better).  Also, while you're there you can mention that you're worried you made a mistake aout your recommendations, and tell them what you think about it.  They'll consider whatever you tell them, it's their job.

Good luck, and try to relax.  College applications are a lot less difficult than people feel they are, and I'm sure you managed to get in.
