First of all I would like to ask questions: -What would lots of purging do to a tongue piercing? -Would I have to stop until it has healed? OR -Would I have to stop completely?
And secondly I would like to open the general discussion of piercings and what they mean to you and your eating disorder? I know people use piercings as an award to getting to a goal weight. I know that people may not be as comfortable with getting such piercings as it emphasises "problem areas" like the navel. But I want to know your thoughts on this subject. And the answers to my questions obviously :)

You would probally have to stop completly for quite some time because of the high risk of infection. Plus side it would probally hurt too much to eat for a while
I got my belly pierced because I know belly rings look disgusting on fat people so there fore I had to loose weight to get it done. I had to take it out because of infection =[ My body hates piercings, getting my ears done was hell so as much as I want my nose done, I dont want an infection there

a healing piercing is an open wound that is constantly agitated. think of the effects that throwing up has on your body. you fuck up your esophagus, your enamel wears off and your teeth decay..what do you think happens to a wound when acidic stomach bile gets in it?
