Read the first book, originally liked it, got older, and realized that Meyer  can't write for shit and is sending some pretty terrible messages. Srsly.

Haven't seen the movie, probably will if it comes on cable and I want some cynical lulz. As far as casting, they probably could have done worse. One thing I noticed in the previews/clips is that Bella is nearly as pale as Edward. Am I alone in thinking that is strange?
