I know it's bad and all, (and I've never been pregnant, obviously,) But my son was born when I was almost 15. His mother didn't want to help out at all. So, I've been raising him. I lived with my older brother for a long time, but I turned 18 and moved out. Anyway, why is it looked down on so much? Like 200 years ago, girls had kids at like 13, and 14 years old. Now it's just terrible.. I don't get it.

Becuase bak 200 years ago kids were almost grown up by the time they hit puberty. There parents taught them how to survive and live and they knew how to keep themselves alive. Now days most of the teenagers that do end up pregnant, it happened to them and they don't want it because they don't want to have to deal with a child at there age.

In those days, people only lived until they were about 50, so everything happened faster.
Also, it wasnt exactly 200 years ago. It was still frowned upon in Victorian society.
It's terrible these days because the majority of teens who have kids dont have qualifications or a job, live off benefits (in my country at least) and teach their children to be as dumb and dirty mouthed as they are.
(no generalisation there :P)

But that is how the majority of the public think.
Also, people used to get married very young and have the children within wedlock, with a father to provide. These days, its a shag in the toilets on a drunken night out and welfare for ever more.

Kid aren't as mature as they used to be.

Some teenage girls are mentaly and emotionaly ready for a child, but others panic when in the situation and aren't ready to deal with all the responsibilities invoved.

if you can take care of it its okay, but it will take away alll of the normal 13 and 14 and 15 experiences away and you cant be a teenager again

kids in our culture (U.S.) are not ready to have children... our culture doesn't train our teenagers to be parents, like other cultures do.

back in the day young girls were married off simply so they could produce children for their husbands and raise them while their other half worked. times have changed

Also because now we are living longer due to improvements in food and medicine.In those days they didn't live to be 50 or even one hundred years old. So they didn't have to wait to have kids.

Because these days teenagers are allowed to do what they wan basically, and are into parties and having fun etc. Years ago it wasn't like that. Girls had a role of having very little education, then getting married and having babies and raising them. When a teenage girl has a baby now people automatically think "She won't look after it, she will be too busy going to parties and getting drunk and buying little mini skirts for herself etc"

It's a stereotype.

Its not really a sterotype. Thats what abortion is for. They don't have to keep it.
