I got my oxycodone 10MG,300APAP prescription filled at kaiser. I was in horrible pain and I decided to pay the 10 dollar co payment. Well today when I finally got home to take the oxycodone for my chest pain and lung pain, it didn't do shit. 15 minutes later I did decide to take a 2nd.

After laying down for maybe a hour almost I still felt pain, I have to keep coughing to get the molasses mucus out or else I find it hard to breath. But when like two hour pass my lung was still hurting. I took another percocet one this time. By this time I was feeling the taste of the opiate that I get when I am getting loopy of a pain medicine like this one. But the pain was still great and I can't take cough suppressants. I was able to fall asleep maybe 10-30 minutes at a time then I wake up coughing mucus up and finding my lung still hurting bad.

So like a hour ago I took two pills this time. And I been able to feel only a tiny bit of relief. Mind you my last perscription of oxycodone was only 5MG and I only took 2-3 pills each dose and it killed all pain. I have tried oxycontin but it did not give me pain relief or even made me loopy neither did MS contin I got like 3 weeks ago.

Hmm should I tell my mom of this problem I mean two 10MG pills ain't relieving simple chest pain. I even took some fast acting tylenol or motrin or something.

And yes right now I am breathing just shallow and this way of breathing I am not feeling any bad pain. But I just wondering do you think kaiser fucked me over on my pain pill perscription? I mean 10MG not helping when I had two 5 MG pills taken at one time like 3 week ago I be pain free and dopey and loopey. Right now I feel like all I took was some cheap dollar store tylenol.

I've been wondering the same thing. IMO, the Mallinkroft is crap (stomach pain & not strong enough), and now I only go to pharmacies that do not offer it. I have been on Amide, which seems to be the best out of all the oxycodone generics.(but not the greatest) Last week, I filled my usual 15mg and didn't notice the brand. I've been exhausted (more than usual) and very tired (sleeping all the time). I just realized it may be the oxy's. I looked and I have a bottle of "Activis." A new brand. I don't doctor shop, I see my pain management doctor once a month and something I started doing on my own last year, I give him a journal of all the meds I take. It's a problem when the generics are not that good, because then I suffer with stomach problems and/or having to take more. So now, this Activis has me sleeping all the time. That's not a quality of life either. You tell the physicians or the pharmacists that there is a difference with the brands and they deny it. It's ridiculous this merry go round of generics and their producing products that just barely slip by the regulations. So to answer your questions, YES, I do feel there is a difference, but can we prove it. NO. By the way, I stick to ONE pharmacy, who know me, so there is no problem with "the attitude" when filling all my pain meds.

There's actually a couple of different manufacturers who produce the generic. Some are better than others. Apparently "Amide" is the best, and the one you got (Mallinkroft) is the worst. So I would just let your pharmacist and Mom know for next time to either give you the brand name, or a generic from a different manufacturer. You might need to experiment to find the most potent generic for oxycodone.

How long will this prescription last you? I would just finish it off if I were you even if you need to take an extra pill, then when you pick-up a refill or new prescription next time be aware of the different manufacturers.

:-( well they can try lortabies and other stuff right when I get stronger tolerance. And have you ever tried diladud. Omg they gave me that like 4 week ago when I was in the hospital because I was in pain and I didn't want no cheap ass morphine. Man when they gave me diladud I felt normal like I had no disease, no pain no nothing it was wonderful. But then I was discharged like in another two days. So they couldn't give me anymore just a few doses for one day.

Morphine is so nice.... I was given it like every 3 hours.
