Don't go with that attitude. Go with the attitude of accomplishing an objective in your life. That was the only thing that worked with me. If you want someone's shoulder to lean on, it can work a little bit, but not much. Be wary of spilling everything because even therapists can overreact and do stupid shit. Family therapy can work out issues with your parents and shit if the therapist doesn't totally suck, but you still need to be in control. The therapist will by default usually side with the parents even if they're wrong. Even if they have good intentions, this still often happens to be the case.
