Here is a bit of cold, hard truth for you, if you think anything ever changes, or expect humanity to ever change, you are ignorant.

EVERYTHING that is going on in the world, has happened before in time, in one shape or another. Those with a basic education of history can usually make this connection;

The face can change in time, but the mechanics behind them are always the same.

It is true of everything humanity does.

Politics? Nothing is new. Republics and democracy have been present since the Greco-Roman era. Socialism? Just wait a while, because it's a cycle, until the masses become too enamored with their society to care, and a totalitarian takes power, and you have the Romans, and eventually, all socialist countries will fall to countries that are not, just like the Romans. Communism? It's been around since the Renaissance, the only difference is back then it was optional, because that's the only way communism can work, if everyone wants to.

Science? Ha. Ha. Science changes nothing, it's just discovering what is already there, and using it. It changes nothing about human behavior, no matter what you may think. WMDs? No one dares to use them because of paranoia of mutual destruction, how eager do you think Truman would have been to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki if they had developed their own? There was suspicion that Germany had been developing their own, and look at what happened there. Evolution in thinking? Look at the Scientific Revolution. Thousands of years of "science" were erased in a few decades. How hard would it be to erase about 500 years of new "science" when something new is discovered that erases all our preconceived notions? Science is a myth.

Perhaps one might think we have made great humanitarian strives. Hardly. Racism still exists, and always will, regardless of what people may think of education, because there will always be pride, and segregation, because everyone wants an identity. Atrocities, and inter-nation aid programs are old news as well, and will continue in the future indefinitely. From the butcher army known as the Golden Horde, to the systemic extermination of the Holocaust, or from the peaceful missionaries to new territories in the Age of Exploration(granted there were also aggressive converters) to the Peace corps. sending aid to third world countries(along with all of the slavers and smugglers who feed off 3rd world countries.)

Nothing ever changes. Get used to it. Why? Because no matter what humanity may think it's actions accomplish, no matter how complex they try to make their technologies or societies, humanity cannot change itself. There will always be extremes on either side of everything, no matter what you wish. Progress is a false security to make those without purpose feel like they do. Words and systems that worked thousands of years ago, still hold true today because humanity never changes, it just try to convince itself that it isn't just the basic animal it really is, so instead it claims that there is a goal, there is progress to be had.

It's all a fairy tale almost all of you have been infatuated with, that there will be an end to it some day, some great change. There will never be, because we are all the same animals we were  thousands of years ago.

The only purpose in life, is to find who you love, and do what it takes to make sure they are safe, because they are all that will matter to you. To be frank, you are insignficant to the universe, we all are, so quit trying to change the big picture, and hold onto what is important to you, your loved ones, because they are the only thing that will matter in the end.

Welcome to life, if you don't  like the way it is, or you don't want to be a part of it, the door is always there. As long as the one I love is here, I intend to stay, but if she wasn't, I could give a fuck about anything. Maybe most people should try doing the same, instead of whining and trying to bitch the world into an utopia, because it won't happen.

Although I agree with most of it, I disagree about your view on science. Old science, that was swept away by the new one, was largely unfounded. It was basically what someone had though up, and everyone else agreed on it because they wanted to look smart. Today at least we have scientific method. But on a large scale, world is pretty much just how you described it.

Todays scientific method is SEVERELY lacking, we still have huge strides to make. About 80% of the shit being taught will be disproved eventually.
