I dunno, SUCCESS. You can sell 3 PC's with a 5 day free trial then you need to pay 30 a month. and 5 PC's for double the price. Over time the one with the free trials is going to add up.

Horrible analogy.

Console developers make the majority of money from software sales until the consoles themselves become dirt cheap to make. You have one console sold at a profit(the Wii) the others are sold at a loss. The Wii has an incredible software sell rate as well. They also nickel and dime just as well as M$ and Sony with the Virtual Console.

Is anyone on this site even interested in sales or the console war anymore? I mean, does it really matter? As long as you're happy with what you got, then screw the sales. Like, the 360 is winning in terms of total sales right now (vs. PS3), and the PS3 will eventually beat the 360 in sales... but will that stop me from liking my 360?
