For the second time, I couldn't "perform" last night.

I had been drinking all day and I was shitfaced but when I took a girl home I couldn't do anything because "it" wasn't responding.

Could alcohol be the problem? Because the last time it happened I only had a few drinks, I wasn't drunk.

Now I'm actually a bit worried. The girl was saying it can happen if a person does drugs. I don't do drugs, I used to now I'm freaking out.

I can get hard no problem but when it came down to it last night, I couldn't.

What the fuck is going on?

Should I go to a doctor or is that over-reacting?
This shouldn't be happening at my age.

Drinking copious amounts of alcohol can make you temporarily impotent, as in you can feel totally horny, but you just won't be able to 'get it up', so to speak. This is caused by the alcohol, and can easily happen. Sometimes it may not, other times it may. Even if you have a few drinks, you might find one day it gets to you much quicker than before.

Stress is also a big factor, because if you worry about not performing, often the psychological effect can cause what you fear to happen. You end up getting so worried, that you've lost the horniness and you can't get it up. I don't really know whether this may apply to you, but it's just something else that can also affect it.

My advice is don't drink any alcohol at all, and try not to worry about performing well. Go at it with confidence knowing you're going to do well, and that boost should overpower any fear or doubts you might have about it occurring again.

However if it continues to happen even after you haven't drunk any alcohol, you might want to go to a doctor just in case, perhaps they could give you more light on the situation.
