For my exchange application i need to write about 3 unique elements of canadian culture. All i can think of is our multiculturalism!?
Anyone got any other ideas?

Yes, the arts. The arts industry in Canada is an 84.6 BILLION dollar industry per year. There are many talented Canadian actors in both film (Jim Carrey, Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams) and theatre (Colm Feore, Cynthia Dale) as well as music (The Guess Who, Sarah McLachlan, Celine Dion, Nickelback, Sam Roberts, Sum 41 etc. etc. etc.).
Plus the fact that the CBC pumps out so much Canadian content each year.
And the fact that Fort Edmonton Park is the world's biggest interactive historical park.
Secondly, the war.
The taking of Vimy Ridge is arguably the most successful of all Allied offensives during the war. It was the Canadians that took Vimy Ridge.
Not the British. Not the French. Both tried and failed.
Sir Arthur Currie invented "The Vimy Glide" which is how they took it.
"It was the first time the Canadians attacked together, and they achieved a magnificent victory, sweeping the Germans off the ridge. By April 14 they had gained more ground, more guns, and more prisoners than any previous British offensive had done." - The Canadian Online Encyclopedia
It was a HUGE moment, not only because it was a victory over the Germans, but because it was something that the Canadians had achieved that was purely Canadian, not British.
