My buddy is having trouble with his Supra. I drove it a few minutes ago, and it sounds like it's having some minor compressor surges (boost at 10 PSI), but the blow off valve still releases the pressure. It's almost as if the BOV is late, could it be an ECU problem? Maybe a wrongly connected BOV? I know the BOV can handle 10 PSI of boost release, he ran it at 21 before he blew the last engine.

What kind of blow off valve is it?
There should be an adjustment screw on top of it. Play with it.

also it's not your ecu. BOV's are vacuum controlled.
