I think there is part of those that follow their faith that better moral values are followed. What percentage is it? Don't know but I wouldn't think it's more than 20%. From my viewpoint I think organized religion is mostly fake and a business that is driven for money and wealth and the hell with the soul of the givers. George Bush approved the mission to kill a half million innocent Iraqis while calling those that killed three thousand of our people on 911 terrorists. He claims he was directed by God to do this. He also claims to be born again. Born again what? All organized religions are cults in my opinion.

It's not that complicated: a simple look at your Joe-average Christian church, for example, will show you that your claims about the 'religious' (presumably, you've also made the error of assuming that Christianity is the only religion in the world) being corrupt, afraid and foolish are, put most simply, untrue. You're making a broad generalization about billions of people based on the actions and attitudes of a very few.

Mind you, I never specifically said Christianity. Christianity is not the only corrup religion out there, and I'm not saying every single religion is bad either. It's just my opinion that the whole concept of religion in general, is used to brainwash masses of individuals at the same time. Some people manage to suck some good out of religion, and others manage to twist it into a sick weapon. It's all the non-influential people in the world who do the former, and all the people with power that do the latter. People inpowerful possitions end up corrupt, and it's that small number of people who end up making the larger difference.

A Majority of Muslims, Jews, Hindhus, Buddhists, and so on are reasonable people. Human thought itself leads people to be corrupt, religion is just a natural part of life.

oops there you go again.
In my sight, it was good because it gave people a chance to think but then it got too far and then people fought over their beliefs. its gotten so far to this day that its one of the myriad reasons we have for wars and stuff. although the majority of us in the Northern Hemisphere dont declare war because of religion, others do.
if there was no religion, then people would find other things to fight over. But yes, it has caused some scuffles
I do agree, as it is in human nature to fight amongst ourselves that are not a part of the group we belong to originally. However, we shouldnt be fighting anymore, we should be united against what could be out there.
What troubles me is when you said "If its christianity, Then its good."
Christianity has indeed taken over the world for at least a little while, and it has indeed caused some war (such as the Crusades) and, according to some history courses, is one of the reasons for the imperialists to try and take over the cultures existing in the places they wanted to take over (God, Glory and Gold, religion obviously being 'God'.)
Of course, there are a few good things, like charities and stuff, but you cant just ignore the past. Instead, one should remember what happened in the past relating to their religions and pledge never to do such a thing again. However, there are those who take themselves and what they consider to be true too seriously...
