IIRC. Germanium has a lower forward voltage drop across it's junctions and different characteristics compared to silicon.

I think it would depend on the circuit, I think it should work as long as the spec.s are similar, but it might not work as well...   or maybe it could work better.

I wish you could see that not all guys want that one thing. I have mainly girl friends, i have 2 guy friends that's it. And i do not want to be anything more than friends with any of them except one but that's another story. You have no idea what you're talking about, i cant believe i thought you were different.
