Oh I bet. Because even though you aren't of the uncompassionate, power-hungry kind, unfortunately you still have to deal with that stigma.

That's the thing that sucks the most about it...when you honestly just want to love people, and they basically throw it back in your face and tell you that no, you don't actually love them, you're just power-hungry.

Kinda sucks.

I'm not saying all people are like that. Just all those I've encountered(personally), and those I've seen in power.

Eh, I meant all that I've encountered, I think I left that part out. It's been a hard week, I've been having brain farts all over the place. Hooray for end-of-semester papers, bah.

being an atheist seems to be a fad nowadays.

Saying something is a fad is becoming a fad. Just because more than one person has the same thoughts and interests it becomes a fad?

No; however, it is becoming fairly trendy for those free-thinking teenagers to declare that they no longer believe in God for any variety of stupid reasons. Listening to and reading their reasons, it often becomes apparent that most haven't thought this decision through logically, so the conclusion that can generally be reached is that it's a rebellious fad for most (note: "for most"--I'm sure that there are teenagers out there who have given genuine thought to the situation and do have decent reasons for their atheism; most of those, unfortunately, do not frequent the internet), much like Wicca.

For most of them, they entirely oblivious to what they really feel, because its not really that importantto them or more specifically something they think about. Most teenagers dont believe (here in UK anyway), but at the same time dont know what atheism really is, they are more likely agnostic. They dont even actually have any reason to believe or not believe, they dont have arguments for or against. Its more of a casual opinion than an active belief. But dont get me wrong its totally logical, and probably that some are atheists simply to be adding to their image of 'rebellion', i know too many

I'm not like that. And it isn't only Atheists who do that. Plenty of Christians and other religions do the same thing, telling people that they are wrong and shoving their beliefs down people's throats. Anyway, don't just put the blame on Atheists, because everyone else does it too. Some do it without even realizing it.

I'm not saying that atheists are the only ones who do it; what I am saying is that, as with other religions, the vast majority of teenage atheists are as much just to be "cool." They have the added bonus of also being omgrebellious too.
