That's like saying why not just kill you because you're going to die anyway, right?

Sweetie. These are the kind of thoughts that you should keep just to yourself. =)

My real died of AIDs and to me, she deserved it. Her and I were not close, she was a horrible woman and brought it on herself. Now, in terms of everyone with AIDs getting murdered or dying off, that's not totally cool. Some people with AIDs are not to blame, like babies or children. Some people do live years with it, although usually that's the HIV, not full blown AIDs. It just depends. I don't think they should all be killed off.

It sounds like a very sensible idea, but there are lots of moral/ ethical issues with it. There is an argument for both sides, but most would be in favour of not killing them all. Many people would argue that if it should be their choice if they wanted to die, and if they had any quality of life they should be allowed to live. Then there is a sheer cost of the acual finding/ killing. If one person was missed, it would all be for nothing and the disease would simply spread in secret until it was so big that it couldnt be hidden again. Monkeys in the wild also still carry the disease, so even if every human was killed, there is still major potential for it to be re-introduced, and there is no way that every monkey could be HIV tested and either released if negative or killed if positive. And killing all the monkeys would once again be out of the question for medical reasons. Also, if you kill all with AIDs, what next? Do we kill all people with genetic suspected cancer to try and eliminate the genes? The arguement for the other side, of course, is that whilst it would mean killing an awful lot of people in the present, millions of people in the future would be saved from suffering. I think my writing above will help explain why most wouldnt accept this.
