I HATE OSAP.

OSAP is the name of the student loans you get in Ontario, and I HATE IT.
They keep screwing me over, every day it's a new thing. First, it was because I applied late and I almost didn't start school on time because of that, which I understand, my fault.
Then, they gave me all my funding instead of sending some to pay off my tuition, but I didn't know this (apparently it's a rare situation, yay me!) so I spent the money on food, residence, etc. and found out a few weeks ago I can't get my schedule for next semester.
So then finally today I went in and said "I need my schedule, is there a way I can get it?" So they had to write me all these notes saying that my next installment would be coming next semester and it would be paid off for sure, then I got my schedule - to find out my account is screwed up and I get to deal with THAT next semester.

This all means that I know have to find 1400 dollars or else I'm kicked out of residence next semester.

AWESOME.

i went through something similar first yr and they sent me from office to office filling our form after from and I started school 2weeks late but it eventually worked out but I feel your frustruation

Just be careful. Make sure that when you apply you take notes on EVERYTHING they say. And ask them what to do both semesters. Ask them everything.
