 Why can't he get them done now? We got Jay's first portraits done when she was 3 months old. If any holiday had come around before then we would have gotten them done. If you have a Picture People near you I would really suggest going. They have wonderful photographers who are great with kids, and they are very serious about being sterile. 
Well my sister had my niece's pictures done when my niece was just a month old. And the pictures didnt turn out well, because she couldnt hold her head up. Not to mention i dont really have the money right now to get them done anyways. And my mom has all sorts of picture plans made already. Like we're apparently doing a generation picture, with my mom,dad,grandparents on my dads side,me, and my son. She also has some other picture stuff planned, which will be expensive,along with just ordering the hospital pictures.
