Obama will bring change, quesion is what kind

Change! This was something that was proclaimed and offered by both John McCain and Barack Obama during their campaigns. But now that Obama has been elected for president, what kind of change will he bring? This is the question I keep wondering about.

People keep asking for change, and I have no doubt that we will indeed see change, but again: What kind of change?

Obama says that he will pull out troops from Iraq, but is demilitarizing Iraq really what we need? I fear that doing so may only just prompt terrorists to attack us once again. For once we are out of there, the terrorists will no longer be on the retreat, they will be moving for the offensive.

Honestly though, in the years that we have been fighting in Iraq, since 9/11, have we been attacked? No, we have not. I think personally that this is evidence enough that pulling out of Iraq will do us no good.

As for relations with Iran, I think Obama's foreign policy may not be best when dealing with these individuals. Obama seems like he would want to friendly up with Iran, and honestly, do I have to say how much they hate us?

They will never agree to any kind of peaceful relations - not even to the ending of the world.

In addition, Obama says that he will keep taxes lowered for the middle class and the poor and then tax the rich. As good as this sounds, this kind of goes against capitalism, the very kind of market our country has thrived on since the beginning.

I firmly believe that the rich deserve their money. Who knows though, maybe this will have a good effect for the future of this country. I certainly hope so.
