Historically, women were married off when they were young while men didn't have to marry until it was necessary that they produced an heir, which wasn't until they were older.  It was natural, and if an older woman was seen with a younger lover, he was just a "boy toy" or she was just a "tart."

Over the years, we don't marry people so young, but the idea still remains that younger girl & older guy is more common and okay.  Younger guy & older girl, not natural.

That's just the way it is, Iunno. Some women do go out with younger guys, but that just doesn't look right. Girls mature earlier both physically and mentally. I think it's just natural.

Im lucky enough to look at least 10 years older than i actually am and i tend to like to dress in what resmebles a suit so i dont have to worry, then again i generally like older girls but at the moment i am head over heels in love with someone who is over a year younger than me

So I guess you could say the girls mature faster is bullshit really. It's all in society's basic infrastructure of thinking that the girl be with a older man/guy/boy. Not that a girl getting taller then a boy because of earlier puberty has really nothing to do with it. :P

Women are most physically attractive when they are in their teens. For men it is later. That's obviously a matter of personal taste but I would say it is true for most.
