simply question. if you HAD to choose between the two;  of course, both genders can be shallow, but I truly think guys are the more shallow ones (at least in high school)

Not exactly true, especially in such a generalised statement. The same can be said about girls.

Seriously speaking however, I believe both genders can be extremely shallow under certain circumstances. Bot guys and girls can be extremely shallow and then there are times where they aren't.
