eating meat and dairy can be a healthy meal along with friuts, vegetables and some type of starch. you don't need meat everyday and should eat veggies and fruits everyday. just make sure you have all the nutrients that you need for your body.

vegans are causing global warming.. they eat our plants which we need to filter out the CO2 thats in our air.. if the vegans would eat an animal they would help reduce the amount of pollution in our ecosystem that animal cause with their "gases" .. EAT MEAT SLOW DOWN GLOBAL WARMING!!

Eat meat and become fat like the rest of America. Don't eat veggies and become fat like the rest of America. Hm... yeah, I don't think I like either one of those options. You idiots and your global warming and misconceptions and misinterpretations. Idiots, idiots, idiots. By the way, if any animal causes pollution, we would be on top of the list. Besides, it's now being said that humans, after all, really might not have anything to do with global warming at all. So shut your face. Post edited at 10:15 pm on Dec. 2, 2008 by LoveKay

I am vegan, and I do make sure to get all my nutrients (I take a multivitamin with extra B12, omega3s, and calcium). I eat tofu/seitan/etc every day, fruits every day, salad every day. Haven't touched junk food, energy drinks, etc in years. I'd reccomend checking out PETA or Matthew Lush's info on veganism, they have got it down well.

How awkward. ...it's still better for the environment...
Not really. The amount of energy needed to make a large number of vegan products, namely soy, tofu, and vitamin supplements, is fairly high. And the majority of power comes from coal factories. So supporting high energy requirement foods is supporting high energy usage, and thus, high pollution production. FP
Buuut. What if your not vegan? If I'm just vegetarian. Maybe it's different in the states? I dunno, here it always says it's better for the environment to vegetarian. Because of the cow flatulence and transport etc. I think it's different in NZ. We have very little coal usage. Most factories are quite environmentally friendly. I dun wanna fight or anything. just saying what i thought i knew...
