Last night he overdosed on DXM. Apparently he drank a family size bottle of cough syrup and a regular one - and he's not that big of a guy. He wasn't in school today and another friend of mine said he was sleeping and drinking as much water as he could at his brother's apartment all day. Apparently he blew his nose last night and it was just straight up like blood.

I'm sure he's fine now or he would have a long time ago. You need like 2500ml for it to be fatal and he only drank about 750 so it just made him feel really ill.

750mg of DXM won't cause any effects like that if he's "normal" enough. (No health defects, no mental illnesses... even such might not even be factors for causing an effect like that from pure DXM). There must have been acetaminophen or guaif in it. You're right... he is an idiot.

Yeah one of my friends asked if it was from the other stuff in cough syrup and the one who told us just said it was from the DXM. Later i researched it and found out that it must have been from other things because you have to take A LOT of DXM for it to be dangerous - more than double what he took.
