What type of nerd you really need to be specific. There's many types.
The stereotypical nerd with big glasses and have no fashion sense? Then no.
I believe I'm a computer nerd. However, girls don't see that when they first meet me. So I am able to become friends with them or even further the relationship to the point where they wouldn't judge me.
