So its over. Its as obvious as the sun shines through day.
I blame myself, for maybe getting too carried away.
You told me not to give my heart to you, to prevent any pain.
Yet I didn't listen to you, and the silent voice inside of me, I am to blame.
The promises that you made, were not meant to be kept.
I should have kept my fairy tale ending to when I slept.
It was dream, a beautiful dream, but that got lost some how.
Finally, I have awoken, and know its over now.
I should have backed away from you a long time ago, why didn't I do so
But your memory I could not erase, and I just couldn't let you go
I wished for your return, and still held on to that desire.
That feeling now, is what put me on fire.
One that can't be put out. The damage has been done and it shows.
There was the clear warning, but I chose to ignore it and my heart knows.
Everything is over now, and we are going to part our ways.
But no matter what, and wherever life takes us, I'll love you always.
Knowing that its over, you'll still be a part of me; stupid aren't I.
I guess its now time to wish you the best, and say goodbye.

Its over now, you can start a whole new life, and forget my name.
