To put an end to the barrage of "Merry XMAS" etc threads.

Preferably one that stays at the top of Fresh Topics.

I've already suggested it. Christmas is too big to sticky.

Seriously?

Well, then, what about an announcement?

Why can't topics get bumped when people comment on them? I think people post new topics because the others start going down even if a lot of people are still posting in them.

How would an announcement help? It still wouldn't prevent people from creating topics, and deleting all other christmas topics might be a bad idea. As Sam explained to me, people want to celebrate christmas in their own topics, not get lost in a midst of thousands of replies in one single topic.
