I lock mine if I see shady-looking people on the sides of the road. Everyone's always like, "What the fuck, do you think they're going to jump on a moving car and try to get inside?"

I don't know. It just makes me feel safer.

My doors lock after I start the engine (+1 luxury feature on an otherwise ancient car!).

I do normally take my knife out of my pocket and set it beside me when I go through the ghetto neighborhoods though.

wow. cars in america actually lock after a certain speed? i wish australian cars did that.

I was only really making this topic because i was in a suburb the other day with some friends and about 50-100 african american people were fighting and had knifes and i told my friend to lock the doors and he called me a racist. I wasnt being racist i was feeling unsafe.
